Lot of 3 TSR Gamma World products 3rd Print Rule Book - good overall condition with some spine creasing and a some yellowing on the edges. The front and rear cover are both in good shape with no markings on the rear hex Rating: % positive.

This is an ok story, but it is not Gamma World. Gamma World is quirky and full of humor. The author tried to describe some of the things that make the characters what they are in GW, but this book is dry and filled with too much attempt to explain why the characters are what they are, at least some of them that is.4/5(26).

Although a bit different from the standard Gamma World setting, more a gothic pulp sci-fi post-collapse. I've found the first book of this series very interesting from a setting standpoint and plan on getting the others as they are released. In addition, the book. Since the days of 1st Edition Gamma World, Post-Apocalyptic role-playing has been my favorite genre.

D&D (fantasy) is okay, Star Frontiers and Traveller (space opera) are fun, but there's something about the whole Road Warrior (Mad Max) with mutants idea that seems to capture the imagination of those of us old enough to have grown up in the shadow of the cold war with the spectre of nuclear.

The characters are well thought out, the world is nicely fleshed out, and the plot fairly whizzes along from one encounter to the next. Trouble is, it is the later "grimdark" version of Gamma World they are using.
